I’m #BetterBecause of my school janitor!

I am #BetterBecause of my high school janitor, Charles. Charles Clark was a janitor at my high school in Dallas, TX, but was always so much more than just another staff member to me. He is a man of great character and became a mentor to me when I needed help. I didn’t have a stable home life and he would help ensure I got things that I needed to survive on a day to day basis, along with the coaches to help further my passion for athletics and fitness. At one point, I even lived with him when I was homeless for a few weeks. I am better because Charles took interest in me and made sure I had the tools to succeed. He motivates me to strive for success and give back in all areas of my life, including fitness.

Originally from Dallas Texas, I ran track as well as played football for Colorado State University. I didn't have a orthodox upbringing, but it has made me who I am today. After college I went in to work for ESPN and Fox Sports where I won an EMMY Award for the 2011 World Series. Shortly after that I found myself wanting to get back to what what I love, which is fitness/ personal training. I have always wanted to give back and make people stronger, both physically and mentally, and when I made the decision to pursue this career, it changed my perspective and life for the better. I feel like I don’t work a day in my life because I love what I do.
