Protein-Packed Power Bites: The Perfect On-The-Go Snack

Fueling your body before a workout is important to having the energy to bring the heat during your sweat session. There are tons of ways to get your energy, but if you're looking for a quick and delicious way to do it, you’ll love these energy protein bites. They’re full of wholesome, nutritious goodness that’ll help amp up your gym session, tennis game, or beach volleyball skills.

The combo of complex carbs and protein will give you an instantaneous energy boost. Plus we packed these little bites full of added nutrients. The protein powder and chia seeds will help accelerate muscle recovery and ultimately reduce soreness. Chia and flax seeds are also full of potassium, antioxidants, fiber, omega-3s and iron! Talk about power, right? Oh, and did we mention that they taste amazing and take about 5 minutes to make? Munch on 1 or 2 on your way to your workout and get ready to dominate.

Power-Packed Protein Bites


Makes 12-14

Roughly 91 Cal/ball

Macros: 6.5g carbs, 6g fat, 3.2g protein*

1 cup oats

⅓ cup peanut butter

1 Tbsp chia seeds

1 Tbsp flax seeds

1 Tbsp chocolate chips

1 Tbsp honey

1 scoop protein powder (We used Orgain’s Vanilla plant-based protein. Find the right protein powder for you here.)  

Combine all ingredients in a bowl using your hands. Sure it’s messy but it’s the easiest way to get it mixed. Once your mixture is evenly combined it should be a consistency of cookie dough. If your mixture is too dry, try adding a tablespoon of MCT oil or coconut oil to moisten. All that’s left is to make small 2-bite sized balls out of the mixture. Store in an airtight container and enjoy!
