- 2oz unsweetened coconut milk (canned, full fat recommended)
Ingredients for 2 Quart Takeya Cold Brew Coffee Maker
- Peel from 2 oranges
- 170 grams (approx 2 cups) coarsely ground coffee
- ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 2oz unsweetened coconut milk (canned, full fat recommended)
Place the orange peels in the filter and then add the coarsely ground coffee. Twist the Cold Brew Coffee Maker lid onto the full filter.
Fill the Takeya Cold Brew Coffee Maker with cold, filtered water (4.5 cups for 1 Quart and 7 cups for 2 Quart). Lower the filter into the water, seal lid airtight, shake for 30 seconds to moisten the grounds, and store in the refrigerator for 24 hours to cold brew. Occasionally shake pitcher to moisten grinds.
Remove filter when brewing is complete*, rinse interior of lid (which may have grinds from shaking), seal lid airtight and store cold brew coffee for up to two weeks.
*for additional flavor, place the filter in a glass and allow the coffee to drain from the grounds for 45 minutes. Pour this additional concentrate (approx ½ cup) into the pitcher and shake to mix.
When ready to make the Orange Vanilla Cold Brew, add ice to an 8oz glass. Add pure vanilla extract and maple syrup.
Pour in 6oz of the orange infused cold brew coffee. Top with 2oz of the full fat coconut milk, stir to combine and enjoy! Optional: Twist an additional piece of orange peel and place on top of the cold brew for orange aromatics.
